Faculty of Risk and Safety Management

Managing risks and safety concerns is a great asset for economic sustainability in terms of growth and development. If risks and safety concerns of any kind are neglected, they lead to reduced economic performance either in a short or long run. It therefore becomes imperative that the knowledge of effective risk and  safety management strategies be taught at all levels and should be incorporated as a major key to industrial growth and national peace. As a student of this faculty, you will gain intelligent skills that will help you identify, analyze and control risks of all kinds be it in government based or private firms. This is little a wonder that firms today are in dire need of safety and risk managers. All activities of man are carried out in the environment. Unfortunately, most of these activities are not controlled. This negligence therefore produces adverse effects on the environment leading to environmental degradation and dilapidation. Most of the useful animals, plants and micro-organisms  that support life had been destroyed through the uncontrolled destructive activities of man in the eco-system. On the reverse, an uncomfortable environment is created for every occupant of the eco-system.

This faculty is vested with the necessary resources and capacity to provide sound and quality training that will guarantee environmental protection and sustainability thus empowering her students with the right skills to handle environmental issues.
